Our latest video on YouTube. This is our very latest film on our YouTube Channel called'Fossil Hunting The Jurassic Coast" -
The video below is our Latest video on YouTube, showing you a fossil hunting day where we had a spot of bad luck. That is to say sometimes you find exactly the right rock your looking for with no really good reward inside it. It is definitely not often you find a great looking "woodstone" nodule with not a lot within. That is what happened in the video when there was close to nothing in the rock, on first splitting the limestone nodule. Later on in the video we find a great sea urchin fossil find. Beware of the dangerous cliffs along the Jurassic Coast that are liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Wear safety spectacles and goggles when breaking the right rocks along the Jurassic Coast-at low tide. You need to know when to go fossil collecting in conjunction with safe tide times, so always have a tide table to hand. Thanks for watching our YouTube Video.
This is our latest fossil hunting video on YouTube made in Winter time in stormy weather at Lyme Regis.Follow me out on the beach at low tide fossil hunting on Christmas Day. Its a very wet day along the Jurassic Coast and this shows up some of the fossils really well. I walk West of Lyme Regis and find a very nice fossil sea urchin specimen. The cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Thanks for watching and please don`t forget to subscribe to my channel and hit the like button if your enjoying our videos-thanks.
Fantastic Fossil Photos On Instagram .
A few weeks ago i joined Instagram. This is a service that allows users to share pictures and videos either publicly or privately.A good number of "fossilists"have shared some wonderful photographs of their fossil finds on Instagram.
Recently i uploaded an ammonite nodule,i had found when out fossil collecting. The fossil is filmed with the round part of the nodule showing in my hand.I then flip the stone over to reveal the ammonite inside the stone.I stipulate in the video description that" i can`t believe its flipping Thursday already."Its certainly true the weeks just fly by these days. The ammonite flipping phase certainly seems to be growing on Instagram every Thursday. If the trend continues in the next weeks the Fossil Flip Thursday Hashtag should see a lot more entries.
I have told people that flipping your fossil over a bed or cushion is good practice.Luckily so far i have managed to catch all my fossil specimens. Please follow us on Instagram @brandonfossils and you can see all our fossil videos there. The video directly below this text is one of the nodules that i have also shared on YouTube for people to view.
