Heading West of Lyme Regis along the Jurassic Coast, i see some lovely large ammonites. The attrition of the sand and sea wears away these' grand old 'fossil ammonites daily.I enjoy doing a little and large comparison of the ammonites i find. The small "metallic looking" ammonites i find are great to keep, these are from Seven Rock Point. I leave the big ammonites for others to see where they belong. Its very pleasurable to see the moss waterfall at Pinhay Bay-it seems other -worldly.The beautiful calm evening is 'dream like' on this gorgeous coastal fossil walk.http://www.lymeregisfossilwalks.com There is a fossil collecting code of conduct in operation along this stretch of the Jurassic Coast. The cliffs along this stretch are liable to fall suddenely and without warning .Its best to attend the beach at low tide and keep away from the dangerous cliffs.

See our YouTube Video below on Jurassic Coast fossil finding .Its just after Easter and i go down along the beach- East Of Lyme Regis. The Easter Holidays have just finished after lockdown and people have returned home ,from their holidays at Lyme Regis . Some folkes told me they had found some wonderful little ammonites along the Jurassic Coast .Others said they found very little or nothing . So i thought on a quiet evening after the Easter holidays i would challenge myself to find an ammonite fossilised in the "fool`s gold."Join me on this little fossil collecting trip on the evening of the 19th April 2021-East of Lyme Regis at low tide. After an hour and a half of fossil collecting see what i find! Its all about being patient and putting in some time and work to find a fossil. http://www.lymeregisfossilwalks.com The cliffs are dangerous along the Jurassic Coast always beware of the dangerous cliffs they are liable to fall suddenly and without warning .Have a look at the fossil collecting code of conduct that is in operation along the Jurassic Coast . edit. 4/11/2021 0 Comments Jurassic Coast Fossils -Please see my new video recently added to YouTube about my fossil collecting trip.I find a lovely number of ammonites right at the end of the film.4/8/2021 0 Comments Fossil Walks Lyme RegisWe are getting a large new advertising sign .It will be made to show what we are doing along the Jurassic Coast -this May.Our fossil walks we are doing will take place from our shop in 7 Drakes Way ,Lyme Regis ,Dorset. Fantastic Fossil Photos On Instagram .A few weeks ago i joined Instagram. This is a service that allows users to share pictures and videos either publicly or privately.A good number of "fossilists"have shared some wonderful photographs of their fossil finds on Instagram.
Recently i uploaded an ammonite nodule,i had found when out fossil collecting. The fossil is filmed with the round part of the nodule showing in my hand.I then flip the stone over to reveal the ammonite inside the stone.I stipulate in the video description that" i can`t believe its flipping Thursday already."Its certainly true the weeks just fly by these days. The ammonite flipping phase certainly seems to be growing on Instagram every Thursday. If the trend continues in the next weeks the Fossil Flip Thursday Hashtag should see a lot more entries. I have told people that flipping your fossil over a bed or cushion is good practice.Luckily so far i have managed to catch all my fossil specimens. Please follow us on Instagram @brandonfossils and you can see all our fossil videos there. The video directly below this text is one of the nodules that i have also shared on YouTube for people to view.
