If you plan on visiting Lyme Regis or Dorset in general and want to collect fossils, there is a new set of guidelines issued by the Jurassic Coast Organisation and the local Councils. This is to make fossil hunting safe and enjoyable as well as preserving the heritage and landscape of the Jurassic coastline for many to enjoy today and in the future.
