Lyme Regis was famous for its Jurassic fossil beds made famous by Mary Anning in the 18th and 19th Century. You could find a whole ichthyosaur or plesiosaur (marine reptile fish lizards and long necked creatures much like mythical Nessie from The famed Scottish Loch) just like the ones she did, but this is extremely Rare! These complete finds are not often found, and when you do find them its often in a museum so please check them out - especially in the Natural History Museum of London!
However, anyone can still find a fossil - Ammonites, belemnites, corals, crinoids and fossil shellfishes as well as other types of fossils - you just never know what you are going to find - come on a fossil walk and you might just discover a treasure!

GOOD LUCK!
